GENERAL INFORMATION



The “VICTORIAN COACH LAMP” luminaire range is ideal for use in public areas, where a definite classic and elegant image of quality and style is required. The classic design with finely detailed artwork is all done in high quality die cast aluminium. A leaf-like fine artwork pattern is incorporated which continues from the top sections down to the six sided frame and base section. Available in pole top mount, pedestal mount and wall bracket mount applications with the associated fancy classical look brackets and castings also by Acrylic Art. The “VICTORIAN COACH LAMP” luminaire range is also available in pendant type configuration.



MANUFACTURING DATA



LUMINAIRE BODY


The entire luminaire structure is manufactured from die cast aluminium grade LM6, thereby providing the ultimate in corrosion resistance and strength. The structure consists of five cast parts - the base, the hexagonal frame, the cast lid and the cast spike with fastening finial on top. The entire structure is powder coated to ISO standards in a wide range of colours. Only stainless steel fasteners are used to further enhance the total corrosion resistant properties of this top quality classic and timeless design luminaire.

DIFFUSER / LENSES


The six diffuser/lenses in the six sided frame are normally done in high quality frosted glass, but for special applications acrylic material can be fitted. The lenses are available in clear or a variety of frosted pattern textures (to diffuse the light source). Special sand blasted patterns can be done on request as an optional extra.

CONTROL GEAR


The electrical control gear, including lamp holder, are mounted on an aluminium mounting tray inside the luminaire on the base. The control gear is integral and no external installation is required. The electrical connection is done via a three-way connector block to the external electrical supply. Lamp or control gear maintenance, if required, is very easy and simple. Only SABS & CE approved control gear and Teflon insulated wiring is used.

LAMP TYPES & PHOTOMETRICS


A wide range of lamp types including the low wattage energy saving type are available for this luminaire range as shown in the table above. The degree of light source diffusion is achieved via the use of different glass type lenses - ranging from clear glass (minimal light diffusion) to a wide range of frosted glass patterns which will vary the light diffusion accordingly. Due to the use of all cast aluminium sections, glass and Teflon insulated wiring, higher internal temperatures can be accommodated and therefore the wide range of lamp types is possible.
