GENERAL INFORMATION



The “CLASSIC BELL” Bell Type decorative luminaire range is ideal for use in public areas, providing a very efficient light distribution. The elegant classic lines provide a stylish appearance. Due to the semi-cut-of light distribution design of this luminaire, upward light output is minimised and the beneficial downward light output is optimally utilised. An additional benefit is that unwanted horizontal glare is minimised. Available in pole top bracket mount, wall bracket & pendant mount configurations.






MANUFACTURING DATA



LUMINAIRE BODY


The complete upper structure of the luminaire is manufactured as a one-piece aluminium precision die casting. This provides a very attractive and robust construction which also houses the control gear for the lamp. The large “dish” under the upper structure is formed from strong high grade corrosion resistant aluminium. Only stainless steel fasteners are used and the aluminium sections are powder coated with SABS quality exterior powder coating in a wide range of colours. The internal brackets are also made from corrosion resistant aluminium.

DIFFUSER / LENSES


The diffuser/lens is thermoformed from the highest quality ultra-high-impact acrylic providing the optimum in weathering resistance & strength. The lenses are “permanently” sealed by means of silicon cord gaskets and fixed to the reflector dome with stainless steel fasteners.

REFLECTOR


The aluminium reflector is specially designed to optimally reflect the light downwards for the required most efficient light distribution & light photometric qualities.

LUMINAIRE SEALING


A state-of-the-art design feature is the Acrylic Art “LIFE-SEAL” cast aluminium lamp holder mount design which facilitates lamp changes from the rear of the reflector. The lens seal is thus never broken and this is how the very high dust and water ingress protection rating of I.P.66 is achieved. The entire lens, reflector & life-seal combination assembly can be hinged open for easy lamp changes. This entire assembly is supported from the aluminium dish, with stainless steel fasteners and stainless steel hinges.

CONTROL GEAR / ELECTRICAL


Only SABS & CE approved control gear and Teflon insulated wiring is used. The control gear is mounted integrally in the top section.

LAMPS & PHOTOMETRICS


A wide range of lamp type options are available (see technical data table above). They are available in symmetrical & asymmetrical configurations.
