Bollard

GENERAL INFORMATION



This stylish Bollard is ideal for use in both public and residential areas, providing an efficient light distribution for walk ways. Due to anti-glare louvre design, downward light distribution of this luminaire is optimally utilised. The Bollard is available either as a planted or surface mounted pole. Various decorative options are also available, for example a flat nut or spike, larger diameter pole options with various decorative castings.

TOP SECTION


The bollard is totally weather and corrosion resistant due to the design and use of corrosion resistant materials like cast aluminium, anodised aluminium and stainless steel:
The bollard top section (or the head) as well as the base consists of a Grade LM6 die-cast aluminium casting with a clear Acrylic cylindrical lens. The anti-glare baffles (or louvres) are manufactured from anodised aluminium providing both long-term durability as well as suberb light reflection. Only stainless steel fasteners are used. The acrylic lens unit is sealed by means of fitted O-ring gaskets at top and bottom.
The top decorative finial is an aluminium Grade LM6 casting and is also provided with a washer seal. All metal surfaces are powder coated with the highest grade exterior powder coating in a wide range of colours.


BASE SECTION


The base section is manufactured from a high tensile grade 300w steel, which is hot dip galvanised and powder coated. This provides the ultimate in strength and corrosion resistance. Available in surface mount or planted versions, at specified lengths, and with a selection of different "Pole" sections.

ELECTRICAL CONTROL GEAR


The control gear components are completely integral and enclosed in the base of the top section of the bollard. This eliminates any moisture and corrosion problems. Lamp changes are done by unscrewing the top finial casting and removing the top dome. An electrical cable and connection point is provided at the cable access opening.

OPTIONAL ITEMS


The bollard is available in two mount options: surface mounted with a base plate for bolting down or for planting with an extended piece of tube (see above).
The top finial is also available as a decorative spike option.
The pipe base is available as single 76mm or stepped from 114 to 76mm.
